Gary Wood, also known as GUMR, is an experienced UK-based music producer, educator, and music business specialist. With over a decade of experience teaching in Higher Education, he offers deep expertise in electronic music production, sound design, and creative entrepreneurship. As an Apple Certified Trainer in Ableton Live and Logic Pro, Gary delivers a well-rounded, industry-focused learning experience.

He lectures on Level 4 and 5 courses in Music Production and Creative Enterprise and has supported hundreds of students in achieving academic and professional success, with an impressive 81% high-grade attainment rate. His teaching blends real-world insight with technical and commercial expertise.

Career highlights include winning a Radio 1 DJ competition, which led to performances alongside Richie Hawtin at ‘Sub Terrain’ and Superfreq. His track “Analogue Shimmer”, released on Household Digital, showcases his signature sound—infectious swing, crisp percussion, and a finely tuned low end.
